Carbon Neutrality

At WireIE, we're proud to label ourselves a carbon neutral company. We offset the carbon emissions used for office space, fuel for business travel, and flights. In 2008, this meant that we offset 48 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and for this, we received a Carbon Offset Certificate.

Proactive, not reactive

We purchase our offsets from Toronto-based offset broker Carbonzero to contribute to positive environmental projects like wind farms and solar installations. This is very important, as it allows companies like us to take personal responsibility and manage greenhouse gas emissions before regulations are introduced.

Positive change

Carbon offsets fund progressive projects around the globe such as wind farms, biomass energy, or hydroelectric dams, which “subtract” polluting emissions from the net climate impact. Offsets also help support the transition to sustainable technologies and provide revenue for these types of projects.

Choosing action

By voluntarily purchasing carbon offsets, companies are helping encourage the transition from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy, showing true support for action on climate change. Read our General Admissions Offset Assessment.
