Wireless Broadband (Ethernet-Based) Access and Backhaul Services for
Tier 1 and Tier 2 Carriers
eWire Broadband provides complete managed wireless local access and backhaul services for facility-based carriers who require professionally engineered, carrier-grade radio extensions to their fibre network that may be constrained by:
- High fibre cable construction costs.
- ROW restrictions or authority delays.
- Overall fibre cable placement delays versus short-timed client demands.
- Requirements for hot or standby protection access routes into critical client termination sites.
The data transmission formats adhere to both IP VPN Ethernet (IEEE 802.3 standards) and (legacy T-Carrier/SONET standards), and are available under the following service family:
- 10 eWire 10 Mbps (TLS) Committed Bit Rate (CBR) access or backhaul service.
- 100 eWire: 100 Mbps (FAST E) Committed Bit Rate (CBR) access or backhaul service.
- Gig eWire: 1000 Mbps (Gig E) Committed Bit Rate (CBR) access or backhaul service.
- Custom eWire: legacy TDM or SONET (1,544 Mbps – 155 Mbps data interfaces) for custom access or backhaul service.
- Protection eWire: secondary hot or standby radio access links, engineered to provide 100% availability to critical user sites.

Our Focus
Our focus is to solve the problem of lengthy and costly construction delays or right-of-way constraints that often impact the timely completion of fibre builds.
Each radio access link is custom engineered using RF prediction software, along with line-of-site route data from the field. We then select the appropriate radio equipment in order to provide optimum link power level, frequency band and modulation scheme. The result is delivery of a specified data rate, specified availability and specified Ethernet feature set, all provided in a platform protected from the elements.
