Rob Barlow, President & Chief Executive Officer
An entrepreneurial leader by nature, Rob Barlow has been a key force in the introduction of several high profile technologies into the Canadian Telecommunications sector.
Rob brings 14 years of progressive senior experience in the IT, Wireless Internet, Energy and Telecommunications sectors. He has held various strategic positions at TELUS and Hydro One.
In 2007, Rob created WireIE – an emerging leader in Next Generation Communication Solutions with a vision to do socially responsible business.
Les Gower, CFO
Les Gower has more than 30 years' experience as a senior Finance and Administration executive. He has acted as President, General Manager, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer over the course of his career. He has also served on the Board of Directors of a number of private and small public companies.
Through his management consulting firm, CFO Services, Gower has provided strategic and financial planning services to software, manufacturing and distribution companies.
Gower is a graduate of McMaster University and holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business.
Ian Gilbert, EVP Sales
Ian has more than 20 years of experience leading sales organizations. He has worked for TELUS, Cable & Wireless, Parametric Technology, Reed Elsevier, and HP.
Ian graduated from Plymouth University in 1991 with a degree in International Business.
Neil Buchanan, EVP Marketing
Neil is the Executive Vice-President, Marketing for WireIE with over 20 years of agency and client side experience in marketing communications. He has worked with many world-class brands including: Coca-Cola, Rogers Wireless, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, Bell and BMO. Neil combines unique, creative ideas with his entrepreneurial mindset in order to create high performing teams that continually exceed expectations.
Neil graduated from York University in 1991 with a BA, Majoring in Economics.
George Kaichis, V.P. Technology
George has 20+ years of technical, management, and business experience in telecommunications and RF systems. He has worked at Bell, Rogers and Clearnet/TELUS in various engineering, technology strategy, and vendor management roles.
He is a licenced Professional Engineer and graduated from University of Toronto in 1988 with a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
Brian Walters, V.P. Engineering, Operations, Managed Services
Brian is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur having been involved in the start-up of 4 companies in the telecom market over the past 30 years. Prior to joining WireIE, he founded W3 Connex Inc. (W3) in 2002.
Prior to W3, Brian was co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Drums Inc.
During the early 1990's, Brian was engaged in a number of strategic management consulting roles for several start-up and technology firms. After graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1975, he held a number of Sales and Engineering positions with companies such as Bell Canada and ITT Communications. Brian is a member of the Professional Engineers of the Province of Ontario, has been a past active member of ACEtech (Academy of Technology CEOs) and is recognized on the Stanford Who's Who list.
